Rev. Dr. Karl L. Hodges Sr.
Senior Pastor / Teacher
Pastor Karl Hodges, Sr. a native of Jackson, Mississippi; honorably retired 20 year United States
Navy veteran. Answering the call to ministry service and proclamation of the Gospel message of
Jesus Christ in 1999, by January of 2003 he had been licensed and ordained. For nearly 20 years
Dr. Hodges has dedicated his life to full time ministry and now serves as the Senior Pastor of the
historic Central Baptist Institutional Church of Jacksonville, Florida.
In 2011, Rev. Hodges, Sr. along with his family ( First Lady Sheila, Tyler, Rhiley, Karl Jr. ) united with Central Baptist Institutional Church family.
Saved, sold out, inspiring, powerful and an anointed Biblical expository Preacher/Teacher.
He holds degrees in both Business and Divinity (Honorary). Under the lead of Christ, and by the
power of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Hodges continues to lead Central into an edifying, and God
honoring future.
